bet365 Historical Odds: How to Check and Compare the Data

Learn how to analyse archived bet365 odds, check snapshot timing and football market rules, and compare equivalent prices across bookmakers.

OddsTips Editorial Team4 min read

A search for bet365 historical odds usually starts with a practical question: what price was recorded for a match before it began? A useful answer requires more than the bookmaker's name. You need the market, selection, observation time and archive coverage behind the number.

Independent bookmaker reference

HistoricalOdds is an OddsTips education and promotional site. It is not operated by, sponsored by or endorsed by bet365. This page explains how to assess data; it does not claim complete bet365 coverage in any product.

Read the archive's field definitions

In the Football-Data dictionary, B365H identifies a bet365 home-win price and B365CH identifies its closing counterpart. Column names belong to that dataset's collection method; they do not establish that every row contains a genuine opening quote or a complete price history.

If a file contains only one early snapshot and one closing snapshot, it supports a two-point comparison. It cannot show when a change happened between those points. Keep missing values visible rather than silently substituting a later price.

Confirm what the market settles on

A bet365 football match-result quote must be compared with the same match period at another bookmaker. Its published soccer rules explain the treatment of scheduled 90-minute play, stoppage time and exceptions. A team-to-qualify market is not interchangeable with a regulation-time win.

Work through a price change

Suppose an archive records a hypothetical home price of 2.30 early and 2.12 at the close. The price change is (2.12 ÷ 2.30 − 1) × 100 = −7.83%. Raw implied probability changes from 43.48% to 47.17%, a rise of 3.69 percentage points.

That does not show the reason for the move or the actual probability of a home win. Review the draw and away prices, timing and relevant information before interpreting it. The same checks apply when comparing bet365 with Pinnacle or another bookmaker.

Check current product coverage separately

When evaluating OddsTips or another analysis tool, confirm that your chosen league, season and bet365 market are present. A bookmaker logo identifies a brand; it does not promise every historical match, every jurisdiction or access to bet placement.
